    Hi John:

We are considering use of the DITA 1.2 Learning and Training specialization.

In fact, I am attempting to garner a more formal prototype within our group for reference purposes, though I cannot commit to this happening at the moment.

Dear DITA learning and training content sub-committee -

Those of you who are implementing, using, or considering use of the l&t specializations, please reply back to dita@lists.oasis-open.org to indicate that intent. I will be doing so for IBM.

I would expect that many of you are at minimal considering use, and some may already be testing or planning how to implement or use. This can include pilot tests with sample content.

Please plan to attend the sub-committee meeting this coming Thursday, November 6 to discuss the current status and plan our agendas going forward.

Thanks much for all of your support!

    John

At the DITA TC's October 28 meeting, we agreed that we needed to better
understand how the different parts of DITA 1.2 are being considered and
    adopted by early users.

If you are currently implementing, using, or considering the use of DITA
1.2 features (as indicated in the categories in the

    http://wiki.oasis-open.org/dita/Draft_DITA_1.2_Specification_Review_Assignments
    document
), please reply to this email to let the TC know of that intent.

Some of the processing functionality for DITA 1.2 features has already been
implemented in the DITA Open Toolkit project. You  may refer to

http://dita.xml.org/wiki/plans-for-dita-ot-15 to see whether a capability
you need for a DITA 1.2 feature is ready for you to test yet. Other
products may soon be having test programs--so again, by indicating your
interest in testing a particular DITA 1.2 feature, you might be contacted
for early programs as they roll out.

Thanks, and I look forward to hearing about your experiences or
    expectations for DITA 1.2!

    Regards,
