Subject: Re: [dita] Which CALS Table model should we specify?

About the CALS table model. Paul Grosso could tell stories
(if he would) about what it took to query the SGML Open (now OASIS)
membership and set up the Exchange model.

Harvey Bingham et.al queried all the vendors about what
subsets of the CALS table model they had implemented, and
the Exchange model was chosen for true interoperability
out of the results. ALMOST nobody uses CALS complete. The
    Exchange model is widely used.

That said, I would recommend the XHTML model for most
applications. Depends on what editors you use and what
    applications you need.
