  • 1.  Committee note PDF plug-in with DITA-OT-3.3?

    Posted 03-02-2019 16:42
Colleagues, The Committee Note PDF plug-in works through OT 3.1.2. In OT 3.2.1 and 3.3, it fails with: Severity: fatal Description: Transformation failed. /dita-ot-3.2.1/plugins/org.dita.pdf2/build.xml:291: java.lang.RuntimeException: Failed to compile stylesheet '/dita-ot-3.2.1/plugins/org.oasis.committeeNote.pdf/cfg/fo/xsl/oasis-cn-topic2fo-shell.xsl': net.sf.saxon.s9api.SaxonApiException: Errors were reported during stylesheet compilation To those of you with DITA-OT plug-in experience ... is there a "first place" you would look to assess the issue? All dependent plugins appear to be in place. TIA, -Alan -- Alan Houser Group Wellesley, Inc. Consultant and Trainer, Technical Publishing arh on Twitter 412-450-0532

It runs fine for me with DITA-OT 3.2.1 .... What version of Saxon are you using? I take it back. It also failed for me with DITA-OT 3.2.1. The problem seemed to be with oasis-cn-topic2fo-shell.xsl, which calls in the specific stylesheet overrides. I rebuilt the file using the latest file shipped with DITA-OT 3.2.1. and the plug-in now works with DITA-OT 3.2.1 and DITA-OT 3.3. The latest code is in GitHub. Hi Kris, Thanks for your updates and offline coaching. I understand where the conflict arose btw the committee note plug-in and changes to the DITA-OT 3.2.1/3.3 PDF2 plug-in. I've generated a pull request with mods to the committee note plug-in to better match the new OASIS committee note template. (Adjusted margins, added header rule, tweaked font sizes and spacing, removed footer rule). PDF of the LwDITA CN1 is attached for the TC's inspection. (I realize I did my testing with CN1 instead of CN2. But it's just about formatting/layout). -Alan On 3/2/19 1:04 PM, Kristen James Eberlein wrote: I take it back. Hi, Alan. I'll look at the pull request. I'll also forward to the list my most recent e-mails about the committee note.
