The draft 1.3 spec contains the following information. The content is identical to what was in the 1.2 spec, just reworked to improve clarity: The catalog identifiers use the following patterns. Creator Pattern OASIS DITA Technical Committee urn:oasis:names:tc:dita:xsd: filename .xsd: version Subcommittee of the OASIS DITA Technical Committee urn:oasis:names:tc:dita:spec: specialization-family-name :xsd: filename .xsd: version where: specialization-family-name indicates the subcommittee, for example, machinery or learning . filename is the base name of the document-type shell or module component. version either is a DITA version number (for example, 1.0, 1.1, 1.2, or 1.3) or is omitted entirely. Unfortunately, the files that we shipped for 1.2 did not follow these rules consistently. All of the subject scheme and classification domain files used the SC pattern, for example:

How do we want to handle this? -- Best, Kris Kristen James Eberlein Chair, OASIS DITA Technical Committee Principal consultant, Eberlein Consulting
