    Hi Paul,

    You are right. If the final DITA 1.1 results 100% backwards compatible then I won't mind if the public identifiers and namespaces remain the same.

    But, have you considered that sometime in the future there may be a new version of DITA, namely 1.2 or 2.0, introducing incompatible changes? IMHO, it would be better to start versioning DITA now.
