Subject: CAP Newsletter, Request for Implementation Guide Examples

    Hi Everyone,

I wanted to let you all know that the CAP Special Edition of the Java
    Location Services Newsletter is out.

I wanted to pass along the url for the newsletter:

http://www.jlocationservices.com and click on the underlined link in
the first few words of the second paragraph on the page or go
    directly to:

    http://www.jlocationservices.com/Newsletter/CAPSpecialEdition/index.htm

So, CAP publicity is going forward.

I still haven't received any examples of CAP development issues. This
leads me to request that those who have been implementing CAP and
have run into specific issues, problems, and may be using
workarounds, or may have given some thought to suggestions for best
practices, please, please send them to me, or to the list, where I
will pick them up number them and include them in a list of such, and
start discussions on how to proceed.

On a somewhat related issue, I have been getting multiple requests
for guides to CAP compliance, so besides answering questions as best
I can, I think it is indicated that we should come up with a
compliance guide at least and a set of tests at best. This may be a
good time to think about all this.

Also, I may be a few minutes tardy for tomorrow's call, whatever the
number is because the XML.GOV working group has a 9-12 Eastern
meeting on Tuesday this time for whatever reasons. I am still trying
to get an invitation for a CAP/WSRP presentation to this group based
on the same premise as the abstract I submitted to XML 2004, so I try
not to miss these meetings in order to stay current with the
cross-agency/discipline collaborative efforts going on in the Web
    Services, Enterprise Architecture, Service-Oriented Architecture
    arena in the federal sandbox.

    Ciao,
    Rex
