    Patrick is chair of the Topic Maps working group in
JTC1/SC34. He is editor of both ODF at OASIS and at ISO. He’s a scholar
who frequently presents at conferences and an extremely thoughtful individual.
He was a trial lawyer in a past life.
    


    


    I strongly urge the TAB to request the Board to appoint
Patrick to the TAB in the slot vacated by Frank McCabe.
