The attached public review notice is for the Code List
Representation committee draft for the proposed genericode standard. I promised
to share this draft with the ECF TC before our next face-to-face meeting in
August. I hope to discuss with the TC the possibility of adopting genericode in
future versions of ECF for court policy/code list requirements. This may also
entail identifying ECF code list requirements that are not accommodated by
genericode and communicating them to the CLR TC for consideration in the next
version.

The OASIS Code List
Representation TC has recently approved the following specification as a
Committee Draft and approved the package for public review:
Code List Representation
(Genericode) Version 1.0
Additionally, the TC is
providing the Requirements Document.
The public review starts
today, 17 May 2007, and ends 16 July 2007. This is an open invitation to
comment. We strongly encourage feedback from potential users, developers and
others, whether OASIS members or not, for the sake of improving the
interoperability and quality of OASIS work. Please feel free to distribute this
announcement within your organization and to other appropriate mail lists.

Comments may be submitted to
