ECF TC: At Jim Price’s suggestion, I reached out to Todd Vincent to ask if he had interest in developing ECF training materials. He is interested but wants to make sure we scope it appropriately for the limited budget we will likely have. Below is Todd’s response with suggestions for the scope of the training (ignore 2.5 – that was a joke) and some examples of similar materials Todd created for 2GEFS. I think Phillip Baughman and Jim Price agreed to draft a scope of the ECF training. Hopefully, this is useful in that effort. Attached are two documents: (A) 2GEFS Roadmap, and (B) 2GEFS Fact Sheet. The Fact Sheet was intended to be a simplified version of the Road Map, which CA AOC published on its website. The Road Map goes into some additional detail and includes a definition section. 2. Thoughts on the content of an ECF Training document: 2.1 Include a section on technologies and trainings that the audience is expected to know that is necessary but outside the scope of the ECF Training document. Mention this briefly at the beginning of the document, but then include the content at the end, possibly in an appendix. 2.2. Optionally, include a definition section, possibly as an appendix. See Road Map document. 2.3. Include ECF and NIEM versions table. I would likely need to interview you/Gary to ensure this is correct. See the Road Map document. 2.4. The heart of the deliverable would cover the ECF MDEs, web services, and their functions and relationships. Perhaps including (a) very simple flow diagram(s). 2.5. An endnote that says, “Use 2GEFS”.
