    MINUTES OF UBL-TRANSPORT SUBCOMMITTEE MEETING
     
    1000 - 1100 (Singapore time) Thursday 10 NOVEMBER 2005

    ATTENDANCE:
     
    Kama (UBL-TSC Chairperson, CrimsonLogic)
     
    Tim McGrath (UBL Vice Chair)
     
    Andrew Schoka (Information Systems Engineer (US))

    Li Liaun, Tan (CrimsonLogic)
     
    Jern-Kuan, Leong (CrimsonLogic)
     

    ISSUES DISCUSSED:
     
    1. File naming convention for files shall be suffixed with the datetime stamp on the last modified date for ease of comparison with older models and files.
     
    2. Updating of DTTN model unable to proceed due to meeting deadlines of projects at DTTN.
     
    3. Li Liaun commented that Insurance information is not requiring for Forwarding instructions in Singapore's context
     
    4. COML does not require shipment based on the lastest data model, as shipment stage is now available in the consignment class. However the shipment class will be retained, since some goods items can possible be in different shipment.
     
    5. There is a missing link between shipment and shipment stage.
     
    6. Modification on FI was carried out
     
    7. Li Liaun highlighted the difference between Freight invoice and commercial invoice. Freight invoice is an invoice for the freight services rendered not the commercial value of the items.
     
    8. Li Liaun explained what Transport Instruction document is
     
    9. Kama highlighted the need for high level data model to allow other members to visualise structure of the three documents: BL, AWB & FI. CY and Tim will do up the data model first before any more modifications to spreadsheet.
     
    10. Tim updated that he has updated the UBL TC that the Transport models will be given as soon as its completed.
     
    11. Tim requested that CrimsonLogic to provide and update the process for the additional three documents so that it will facilitate him to explain the rational and how it will fit into the transport process to others.
     
    AOB:
     
    1. Timing for meeting will be fixed at 10am for subsequently tele-conference.
     
    ACTION ITEMS:
     
    1. CY and Tim will work on the data modal followed by spreadsheet during the next 2 days. Data model for three documents targeted to be ready by Saturday for review by members for conference call on Monday.
     
    2. CY and Tim to complete GoodsItem model with attributes
     
    3. Tim will help in placing definition in spreadsheet for the three documents
     
    4. CrimsonLogic will add into the process model for the other three documents recommended.
     
    5. CrimsonLogic will continue to work on the three documents. Transport Instructions, Freight Invoice and Packing List.
     

    Next Meeting Schedule :
     
    Use WebEx for web conference for purpose of sharing of screen to facilitate modification to data model and spreadsheet immediately.
