Hi,
I am still trying to catch up here, but I do echo Arshad point and ask
to let cool heads to prevail.
Thanks

John,
Please don't do anything hasty; we view your contributions and support
on the TC as invaluable, and would hate to see you leave.
All,
I realize that in our field, where there are many talented, intelligent
and extremely well-informed people, we are going to formulate some
strong opinions and argue for them passionately. I would hope for
nothing less from the people I associate with, because that is one of
the methods by which I learn and how things change in the industry.
I would request that we let bygones be bygones and see if there is
anything to resolve between the IETF and OASIS. Personally, I don't see
a conflict (and neither does Phillip according to the e-mail trail), so
I think there is nothing to resolve. Each group is attempting to solve
a different problem.
Unless someone can identify specific areas in which there is an overlap,
can we put this issue to bed and carry on with the interesting work to
which we volunteered to do? Thanks.
