IDtrust Steering Committee, I hope we can discuss CSI on the StC call tomorrow. I've drafted a very rough homepage--basically just the logo and mission statement. The page is currently live but not linked from anywhere: https://www.oasis-open.org/resources/csi I've wordsmithed the mission statement a bit. If anything is lost in the translation, I'm happy to work it back in. I hope we can focus now on how we intend to fulfill the mission (what we're going to do) and from that, the functionality we need from the web pages. I know we've discussed this before, but we're reaching some forks in the road; it will be hard to backtrack if we don't have a solid picture of our requirements. For instance, if our goal is to enable people to post content, then we'll need to set up a distinct web site. If we proceed with creating a subset of pages on the main OASIS site, we may be able to allow a few StC members to post, but it won't be a large group. We talked about providing Cloud TCs with a template, but the one we drafted still seems very generic. Let's work out a plan for taking that to the next step. I've asked Chet to join the call so we can be sure the activities and structure we're planning for CSI furthers the TCs and there is no confusion about overlap. Carol, I think the CSI page looks great. A few thoughts for our discussion: To get started, perhaps we can provide links on this page to specific content categories as well as to a collaborative tool. The content submitted from outside OASIS members would be moderated so submitters could either upload or email for review/add. Content categories might include: - Cloud Standards Development (to be organized into categories such as Identity, Service Metrics, etc.) - Global Government Cloud Computing Regulations, Policies and Practices (to be initially organized by country - see http://www.gao.gov/assets/600/592249.pdf for example of content under US Government) - Cloud Research Studies (organized into policy and technical categories- Example is the Business Software Alliance cloud report) - OASIS Technical Committee Work (e.g. IDcloud) - Cloud Computing Demonstration Projects and Initiatives - Cloud Computing Events (e.g., ICS 2012) To achieve collaboration (highlighted in our mission statement), can we link to a separate WIKI or other tool? Just some thoughts to get the discussion started. John John Sabo CA Technologies Senior Director, Global Government Relations Tel: +1 202-513-6304 Mobile: +1 443-629-6198 john.t.sabo@ca.com
