I believe it was Clint Eastwood who memorialized this line
in 'Dirty Harry': A man has got to know his limitations!
I believe I'm beginning to know mine, folks. I've decided
to let my Steering Committee membership lapse in order to
better focus on the things that I can do well and will not
run in this StC election.
I have a lot of work remaining on the EKMI TC; my work at
LegalXML eNotary TC is ramping up; there are two new TC's
that look promising: IPF and the NTSA Reporting TCs - and
yet another TC idea bubbling in my head!!
I've decided to cut back and focus on where I think I can be
of most value to the industry - and that is in the Technical
work that I can produce. The StC has very able people right
now, and I am sure that equally, if not more, capable people
are in the wings who will do a better job than I.
I will continue to remain a member of OASIS and of the
IDtrust MS and will continue to work with you all towards
improving standards for the industry in this arena.
