Friends,                             We did not have a quorum on our call last week.  However, Jeff, Jane and I discussed one topic that needs quick resolution.  That is what we want to do regarding our participation in IAEM next month .  We do not have funds to cover a booth and large presence since we moved funding from this event to cover the TEP effort.  We discussed how to get some visibility and considered someone attending the conference; visiting each booth that engages in the space of any of our Standards and providing them information and inviting them to join OASIS; prepare and provide materials; present at my Standards and Practices Committee on the status of Adoption; participate in any sessions as applicable asking pertinent and appropriate questions regarding interoperability, our standards, conformance.  We discussed those who might be available for this and Camille Osterloh was our clear choice.   Please see my correspondence with Camille below and her attached proposal as well as the spending plan and status recently posted.  If you would each comment with a reply to this message your thoughts we can make any adjustments, clarifications, etc and run a ballot to vote.    Many thanks! There is a line item in here for printing some materials. We could coordinate with OASIS staff to have them printed and shipped before conference if that is more cost effective but I have a placeholder for it here. We may also qualify for a discount on registration through OASIS non-profit status. As a non-member I've listed the regular registration fee so it will not exceed this amount. Thanks again for considering proposal. -Camille   From: Elysa Jones < elysajones@yahoo.com > To: 'Camille Osterloh' < camilleal@yahoo.com > Sent: Friday, September 13, 2013 7:31 AM Subject: IAEM   Hi Camille,   We discussed OASIS participation at the MS StC call today.  As discussed in our TC meetings, we moved much of our funds from support of the IAEM to support for the HL7-TEP work.  We have enough left, however to consider a trip for one person to go to the conference along with materials to attend the conference and promote our work.  If you are willing to support this for us, please put together a budget for your travel and registration.  I’m not sure if we can support any hours for this.  It would be great if you could attend the Standards & Practices committee meeting Sun 1-3 and provide an input on the EDXL standards.  The conference starts on Mon and lasts through Wed (noon, I think).  Let me know if you are interested and what you think you could do this for.   Cheers, Elysa   Attachment: IAEM Conference Budget_Osterloh.xls Description: MS-Excel spreadsheet
