Friends, Please find attached the modified proposal from Tim Grapes for the work to facilitate the TEP SC in the completion of the TEP Standard and to work with the HL7 PHER working group to facilitate the development of a transform specification between TEP and HL7. The amount has increased to $9,550 beyond what we originally authorized $8,000 (Jane, please check the notes and correct me if I’m wrong on the amount). This increase is over what was in the draft proposal we approved. This is due to the added time the HL7 working group meetings and interaction will require and not due to any other changes made since the draft was presented. I would like for us to approve this full amount and to agree to adjust our budget to cover the $1,550. There are sufficient funds in the IAEM budget that could be used if we scale down the outreach to publications to be distributed by members who are already in attendance. There may be other options as well for adjusting our budget as our year winds down. We can more ably predict our year-end needs and required carry over. Please respond to this email as soon as possible with any discussion on this topic. Once we have heard from everyone and incorporated any necessary explanations or additional ideas, we can ask Jane to begin a ballot to approve.
