Yves, I think my last proposed formulation is picky/precise just enough I know the annotation can override itself. But this is informative content putting the annotation mechanism into context with the inheritance from structural level, so I wouldn't actually go into the details of self-overriding. BTW, we could still use the example of the translatability algorithm behavior in the translate attribute section. Nevertheless, I assume that you haven't actually expressed dissent with the proposed solution, is that OK? xliff@lists.oasis-open.org Subject: Re: [xliff] Call For Dissent re csprd03 re 206 Thanks, Yves, I was about to implement it but came with a better, more precise formulation NEW: Note This annotation overrides the translate attribute set or inherited at the <unit> level. The rationale is that the default inline value is always inherited from unit, no matter if it was set or inherited at the unit level. So I'd move the deadline for the CFD to next Monday I am going going to implement today anyway as it is indeed minor Cheers dF Dr. David Filip ======================= LRC CNGL LT-Web CSIS University of Limerick, Ireland telephone: +353-6120-2781 cellphone: +353-86-0222-158 facsimile: +353-6120-2734

xliff@lists.oasis-open.org Subject: [xliff] Call For Dissent re csprd03 re 206 Yves, all, This is to propose a solution for the comment 206 by Yves. I suggest that the Note is changed as follows: [ Old: Note: This annotation overrides the translate attribute set at the <segment> level. NEW: Note This annotation overrides the translate attribute set at or inherited from the <unit> level. ] I will consider this solution approved unless I hear otherwise by the end of this week. I plan to tentatively implement this solution into the spec during tomorrow Thanks dF Dr. David Filip ======================= LRC CNGL LT-Web CSIS University of Limerick, Ireland telephone: +353-6120-2781 cellphone: +353-86-0222-158 facsimile: +353-6120-2734
