  • 1.  Question about DECIMAL data type

Where does the TC stand in regards to the DECIMAL data type? In XACML the data types are constrained to strings, integers, doubles, etc. There is no equivalent of the Decimal data type for fixed precision arithmetic. We currently use an extension (custom data type in our XACML implementation). Do you agree that the Decimal data type should be included in the XACML 3 specification? Can someone point me to earlier discussion if applicable on why it was omitted?     Doron Grinstein  ¦ CEO  ¦ BiT KOO   ¦ 818-985-4700 Ext. 31 ¦ www.bitkoo.com

Yes. To broaden the question, is there a reason not to support all XML Schema primitive data types [1]? [1] http://www.w3.org/TR/2004/REC-xmlschema-2-20041028/#built-in-primitive-datatypes

Hi, We agreed previously that we are in feature freeze for 3.0. I would like to keep it like that. Feature freeze is ok with me. We were ready to attest compliance with the entire 3 spec a while back. I was not aware of the freeze. As Ray suggested, we can add data types in future releases. I was just curious if this was discussed in the past. Thanks, Doron Grinstein CEO BiTKOO On May 6, 2011, at 5:21 AM, "remon.sinnema@emc.com" <remon.sinnema@emc.com> wrote: >>
