SUBMITTED CONFORMANCE TEST SUITE I have sent a zip file containing an updated ConformanceTests.html file and the associated *.xml files to Michiharu Kudo. He will put these on our web site. Since it sometimes takes a while to get the web site updated, I would be happy to e-mail the zip file directly to anyone who needs it immediately. Just let me know (
Anne.Anderson@Sun.COM). I believe that the updated test suite is complete, in the sense that there is at least one test that requires each piece of mandatory-to-implement functionality. ADDITIONAL TESTS If anyone thinks there should be any additional tests (of mandatory-to-implement functionality) for an implementation to attest to "successfully using" the specification, please send a proposed test or description of the desired test to the
xacml@lists.oasis-open.org mailing list no later than Sunday, 24 November 2002) for approval by the XACML TC Comments Subcommittee on Monday, 25 November 2002. All approved additions will be submitted for posting to the web site by close-of-business 27 November 2002. This cut-off date for adding additional tests is to allow reasonable time for implementations to be "successfully using" the conformance test suite by 12 December 2002. Additional tests not required for "successfully using", and any tests of functionality that is not "mandatory-to-implement" may be added at any time. Submissions are encouraged to aid implementors. REPORTING BUGS IN TESTS There may still be errors in the tests, particularly in the tests that are expected to return a result of "NotApplicable" or "Indeterminate". Implementors who disagree with any of the tests must post a description of their disagreement to
xacml-comment@lists.oasis-open.org. Please do so as soon as possible!!! After 27 November 2002, the only changes made to the set of tests required for an attestation of "successfully using" will be fixes to bugs in existing tests. Such bugs may result from XACML TC decisions to change the specification in response to comments, or may be inherent in the existing tests themselves. Anne Anderson -- Anne H. Anderson Email:
