  • 1.  Please read: pending ODF 1.2 proposals

    Dear TC members,

in the call on December, the 8th, we agreed the following regarding ODF 
1.2 proposals:

> 6. *The last date by which a vote for a proposal can be requested is
> January, the 7th.* Please note that according to our standing rule, the
> proposal has to be discusses previously.
> 
> The following requirements must be met before a vote on the proposal can
> be requested.
> - The proposal contains the exact text that has to be added or changed
> in the specification, including the affected sections.
> - The proposal contains the requested schema changes, if necessary.
> - The proposal is based on ODF 1.2 draft 7-11, or a later draft.
> - A copy of the proposal does exist in the TC's document repository, or
> on the TC's mailing list (this is required by the standing rule).
> The TC shall not discuss a proposal that does not meet these requirements.

It seems to me that not for all remaining ODF 1.2 proposals a vote has 
been requested for Monday. I believe that this is the case because based 
on the decisions we made the proposers take it for granted that a ballot 
will be conducted. I therefore added all four outstanding proposals to 
the agenda.

However, I would like to ask you to make sure that your proposals meet 
the other requirements above that we have agreed so they can be voted on 
on Monday.

    Hello Michael

In the call of 5/12/2008 it was agreed that the dsig proposal would be
voted on the 12th, subject to minor amendments regarding authoritative
references (which I have amended).  I have not made any additional
request for a vote but I am assuming it will be on the agenda on the
12th.

Yes, it is. With the exception of the table protection proposal, which 
the TC has accepted last week, all proposal that the TC has agreed to 
process for ODF 1.2 are on the agenda.
