Agenda ------ 1. Dial-In, Roll Call, Determination of Quorum and Voting Rights 2. Motion (simple majority): Approve the Agenda 3. Motion (simple majority): Approve minutes of 20 April 2020 (below) 4. ODF Later issues (Preference to current TC members and cycling through their issues so no one is on the spot for all of them in a meeting), btw, limiting the search to open/deferred issues counts 134: https://issues.oasis-open.org/issues/?jql=project%20%3D%20OFFICE%20AND%20status%20in%20(Open%2C%20Deferred)%20AND%20fixVersion%20in%20(%22ODF%201.4%22%2C%20ODF-Next)%20ORDER%20BY%20reporter%20ASC ) 5. 4.7 Empty Cell terminology At our last meeting, empty cell was found to be sorely under defined. As a starting point, table:table-cell child elements can be grouped into the following categories: Text Content <text:change> 5.5.8.4, <text:change-end> 5.5.8.3, <text:change-start> 5.5.8.2, <text:h> 5.1.2, <text:illustration-index> 8.4, <text:list> 5.3.1, <text:numbered-paragraph> 5.3.6, <text:object-index> 8.6, <text:p> 5.1.3, <text:section> 5.4, <text:soft-page-break> 5.6 Text Indexes <text:table-index> 8.5, <text:table-of-content> 8.3 and <text:user-index> 8.7, <text:alphabetical-index> 8.8, <text:bibliography> 8.9 Tables <table:table> 9.1.2, <table:cell-range-source> 9.3.1, <table:detective> 9.3.2 Graphic Content dr3d:scene> 10.5.2, <draw:a> 10.4.12, <draw:caption> 10.3.11, <draw:circle> 10.3.8, <draw:connector> 10.3.10, <draw:control> 10.3.13, <draw:custom-shape> 10.6.1, <draw:ellipse> 10.3.9, <draw:frame> 10.4.2, <draw:g> 10.3.15, <draw:line> 10.3.3, <draw:measure> 10.3.12, <draw:page-thumbnail> 10.3.14, <draw:path> 10.3.7, <draw:polygon> 10.3.5, <draw:polyline> 10.3.4, <draw:rect> 10.3.2, <draw:regular-polygon> 10.3.6 Common Content <office:annotation> 14.1 Just for grins I used LO to enter four values in a calc spreadsheet: <table:table-row table:style-name= ro1 ><table:table-cell office:value-type= float office:value= 18 calcext:value-type= float ><text:p>18</text:p></table:table-cell><table:table-cell office:value-type= float office:value= 12 calcext:value-type= float ><text:p>12</text:p></table:table-cell><table:table-cell office:value-type= float office:value= 54 calcext:value-type= float ><text:p>54</text:p></table:table-cell><table:table-cell office:value-type= float office:value= 56 calcext:value-type= float ><text:p>56</text:p></table:table-cell></table:table-row> But looking further: office: value-type The office:value-type attribute specifies the value-type of a table cell ( <table:change-track-table-cell> , <table:covered-table-cell> and <table:table-cell> ), ...if the <table:table-cell> element content differs from the value of the element... But a table cell never directly holds content, yes? 6. Adjournment ***** Minutes from 20 April 2020: Please change your name from 'anonymous' using the Settings button anonymous morphed into Patrick Patrick: Have quorum - Regina Henschel: https://issues.oasis-open.org/browse/OFFICE-3022 Patrick: changes to agenda - add Office-3022 to the agenda (Regina) Patrick: agenda approved by consent with that change - Patrick: Minutes from 6 April - changes other than my correction of Office-3022? Patrick: Minutes approved by consent Patrick: https://issues.oasis-open.org/browse/OFFICE-3022 Patrick: schema change in Office-3022 approved by consent Patrick: https://issues.oasis-open.org/browse/OFFICE-3841 Patrick: https://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/office/email/archives/202004/msg00004.html Patrick: bitmapSource Patrick: if we mean just any old bitmap, then all bitmaps are raster graphics so it's redundant Patrick: Michael says bitmap here is a generic term Patrick: from a vector or raster graphic - Patrick: from an image (Michael) - (Regina suggests can be drawing as well) - file new issue Patrick: Andreas - shows up in 20.142 luminance and 20.112 contrast as well - Patrick: Francis - need to look at other sections that use bitmap or raster graphic beyond these. Patrick: Yes, need to sweep more generally Patrick: draw:gamma - Francis noted. Patrick: bitmap graphic used in note to draw:image (Francis) Patrick: a source bitmap or raster graphic -> an image - amendment to the proposal draw:luminance + draw:contrast + draw:color-mode Patrick: Regina's proposal, with image language, adopted by consent Patrick: https://issues.oasis-open.org/browse/OFFICE-3768 Patrick: https://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/office/email/archives/202004/msg00006.html Patrick: Francis: 4.7 Empty Cell Whatever is said here should, I think, be consistent with the function ISBLANK() returning TRUE. I think that the term empty cell is useful, because I think that the text would be less readable if it always made reference to the function ISBLANK(). 4.8 Reference This is a good case in point. The sixth paragraph would be much harder to read if we had to eliminate the term empty cells. 4.11.8 Criterion Move the reference to 4.7 from the second bullet point up to where the term empty cell is used for the first time in the second paragraph. I dont think that the bulleted list is presented very well. I would prefer: A Number or Logical value. A matching cell content equals the Number or Logical value. A value preceded by a comparator (<, <=, >, >=). 6.4.9 An optional value preceded by = 6.4.7. If the value is omitted, a matching cell is an empty cell. An optional value preceded by <> 6.4.8. If the value is omitted, a matching cell is a non-empty cell. If the value is included, any cell, including empty cells, are matching cells. Note: =0 does not match empty cells. For = <>, if the value is not empty and cannot be interpreted as a Number type or one of its subtypes and the host-defined property HOST-SEARCH-CRITERIA-MUST-APPLY-TO-WHOLE-CELL is true, comparison is against the entire cell contents, if false, comparison is against any subpart of the field that matches the criteria. For = <>, if the value is not empty and cannot be interpreted as a Number type or one of its subtypes, 3.4 applies. 4.11.11 Criteria Add explicit link to 4.7. 5.10.5 Automatic Range Add explicit link to 4.7. 5.12 Constant Errors Table 4, row 1 (#DIV/0!): Add explicit link to 4.7. Patrick: Regina can we take empty cell as a technical term and make it a reference to 4.7 - set in a different typeface - Patrick: Regina - when we use empty cell in the sense of 4.7 - has a special typeface, empty in the normal sense, just written normally Patrick: Francis agrees - Patrick: An * empty cell * is neither zero nor the empty string, and an * empty cell * can be distinguished from cells containing values (including zero and the empty string). An * empty cell * is not the same as an Error, in particular, it is distinguishable from the Error #N/A (not available). [Just to capture this graphically.] Patrick: Andreas - some confusion on what is meant by empty cell. test file - A9 contains empty string Regina Henschel: 4.7 itself, 4.11.8 OFFICE-3764, 6.18.41 6.18.42 LINEST LOGEST Patrick: Regina - contains <textï> as content - image is part of cell, annotation is part of cell Patrick: Regina - agree on term but what is it? Patrick: Regina - description isn't enough to define it now Patrick: Regina - can have a cell with a formula but no content Patrick: Patrick - does empty exclude markup in a cell? Patrick: can have a child element and still the cell is empty Patrick: Regina on that last comment Patrick: What can cells contain and what of those things qualifies as content? Regina Henschel: The table:table-cell element is used for text tables too and contain nearly all. Regina Henschel: 9.1.4 <table:table-cell> Patrick: Thanks!
