    Oliver,

    Great!

One last tweak, however, ;-) !

I noticed it but did not comment on the dashes running down the diagram.

Now I understand (I think) that they represent the center of a page?

Or is it just a way to illustrate the difference in left and right?

Because left/right have meaning only with regard to some page. Yes?

Worried that reading top to bottom, a reader might conclude that
fo:margin-left + fo:text-indent means the text starts at the center of
the page. Could, that isn't necessarily the case.

Apologies for not noticing this sooner.

Hope you are having a great day!

    Patrick

    Hi Patrick,

    diagram for text:list-level-position-and-space-mode="label-alignment":
The dash line running from top to bottom marks the position calculated
by fo:margin-left+fo:text-indent. This is the indent of the first text
line of a paragraph. It is the position which is marked by the read
arrow coming from the text box containing "alignment position
    fo:margin-left+fo:text-indent".

The grey area more or less represent the general text area in which in
common the text lines of paragraphs are rendered in.

I hope this does not destroy your understanding of the illustrations.

    Best regards, Oliver.

No, that is quite safe. ;-)

It wasn't clear that was the meaning of the dash line.

    Thanks!
