  • 1.  ODF 1.2 CD02 documents

    Dear TC members,

I have just uploaded the ODF 1.2 part 1 CD 02 documents in ODF and PDF 
format to the TC's document repository. The HTML version will follow soon.

I have further uploaded the CD 02 schema, and have added a small 
announcement to the TC's home page. New on the home page is also a 
section with links to the most recent ODF 1.2 documents.

The list of available ODF 1.2 documents is handy.

I think the announcement is a little confusing to non-standards folk.  I
would have preferred something like "28 April 2009 OpenDocument v1.2 part 1
Committee Draft 02 has been approved.  Committee Draft 02 is a milestone
toward achievement of a future draft that is an agreed candidate for public
review."

I know that's a lot to say, but something is needed to provide context to
what it is we are announcing.

One could add a few words, but we should not consider this small 
announcement on the TC's web page as some kind of official announcement, 
like a press release. I further believe the audience of the announcement 
section actually is the TC and standard folks that are interested in our 
work. For a broader audience we have for instance opendocument.xml.org.
