OASIS Open Document Format for Office Applications (OpenDocument) TC

Hi,

I am a new ODF TC member, so I would glad to say hello to all older members.

I am an old (more than 5 years) OOo contributor, co-lead of Russian and 
Turkish Native Language groups. 

I am interested in ODF specification and ODF adoption. Currently I (my 
company) work on a research which targets ODF adoption in government 
structures in Russian Federation, a part of which is ODF localization. 
Localized version of ODF will be ready next week. I hope availability of 
localized version of ODF will boost ODF usage by non English spoken 
developers (there are a lot of).

Hope I will be useful for the TC after some adaptation time.

Oops, read localization as translation. There is no localization, strict 
translation only. Thanks to Bruce to pointing this issue.

You translated the entire ODF specification?
 That is quite an accomplishment. 

If you have not done so already, you
should take a look at the OASIS Translation Policy (http://www.oasis-open.org/about/translation_policy.php).
 There is an opportunity to involve OASIS in helping to promote your
translation.

Yes, including appendixes. :) But it's not finished yet, 100% translated, but  
only 60% are passed through QA.

Done already. I think we can add a 2-3 sentences into OASIS newsletter. AFAIK 
the next one is next Monday, December 3rd.
