  • 1.  Metadata Issue for WS-Calendar Artifact

    Posted 07-07-2011 15:24
During the meeting in which the WS-Calendar was voted out for PR, it was noted that the metadata, i.e., the comments at the top of each artifact did not properly represent the nature of this specification as a joint effort between OASIS and the IETF, the latter as represented by CalConnect. OASIS and CalConnect agreed at the beginning of this effort that this needed to be carefully worded, and subject to the MOU between the two organizations.   This issue was called out explicitly in that meeting, although it was not separately balloted.   http://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/ws-calendar/download.php/42341/Minutes_WS-Calendar-TC_20110527.docx   It appears that what we have in the current schemas that the original comments with misstatements (as noted in the meeting) are still there, with the the final language prepended. Two incompatible metadata statements is one too many.   Please consider picking one and editing the artifacts accordingly. I recommend the final version:   <!--      WS-Calendar Version 1.0      Committee Specification Draft 04 / Public Review Draft 03      17 June 2011      Source: http://docs.oasis-open.org/ws-calendar/ws-calendar-spec/v1.0/csprd03/xsd/      Copyright (c) The Calendaring and Scheduling Consortium 2010-2011.
