  • 1.  Finalising Interop Testing results

    Posted 04-03-2018 11:55
Hi folks, The extended interop testing period is due to wind up in a little over 12 hours and I've already seen some early results coming in which is great. In order to make the updated results available to everyone as soon as possible (hopefully to review and close off the results during our call on Wednesday), could you all send the finalised sheets to me as soon as you have completed them. If there are only a handful of failures, I'll happily accept just the list of those that are disputed/failed as it will be faster to update those entries manually and hopefully this will reduce your reporting burden as well. Best of luck! -- 2017-02-24T20:38:00Z 1 19 191 1 1 209 14.00 X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 Tony Cox VP Partners, Alliances & Standards Cryptsoft P:   +61 7 3103 0321, US:   +1 (650) 918 4307 tony.cox@cryptsoft.com

  • 2.  P6R observations on the interop

    Posted 04-05-2018 14:53
Hi Everyone,    Just a few items we observed during our testing.   1) Several servers had their clock off.  This created problems for at least one test case TC-OFFSET-1-14, 1-20      We have also seen this in past interops.    Perhaps we should add a test for this during the first week where we verify connectivity.      Each client could run a simple test and check the time stamp sent back by the server.    If there is a difference the two resolve the issue.      We could have saved some time this year if we did this. 2) We saw no issues with KMIP 2.0 protocol changes.   Considering the scope of the protocol modification this is good news. 3) We believe the interop has to have time set aside for re-testing and for companies to work out issues.   This seems like the whole point of the      interop to us.    Just doing one test run and reporting the results is not useful.    We also liked the new testing done by Cryptsoft since it caught a      bunch of small issues we had in our test cases which we then had time to fix.
