In order to register the mimeTypes for CAP, the recommended process begins with submitting the desired types to an IETF email list for some informal feedback from their end. I believe the TC should probably approve this before proceeding and we can discuss this and make any recommendations to the TC during the meeting today. The mimeTypes for CAP would be: application/edxl-cap+xml application/edxl-cap+json application/edxl-cap+asn1

Hello Jacob and all... I noted the thread on media/mime types to be associated with CAP. Our coordination with IANA (etc) on registration of new types requires that OASIS Staff manage the correspondence and application process as such, so I'll plan to contact you further as you discuss your needs from the technical POV.  It will be OK for you all to send communications to the relevant list for discussion there.  The application itself needs to be made by Staff on behalf of OASIS as the owner and maintainer. Thanks! - Robin Cover On Fri, May 13, 2016 at 10:10 AM, Jacob Westfall < jake@jpw.biz > wrote: In order to register the mimeTypes for CAP, the recommended process begins with submitting the desired types to an IETF email list for some informal feedback from their end.  I believe the TC should probably approve this before proceeding and we can discuss this and make any recommendations to the TC during the meeting today.
