Subject: Establishing the Spanish Localization Subcommittee (ESLSC)
UBL members,
In November and December we established Chinese, Japanese, and
Korean UBL Localization Subcommittees (CNLSC, JPLSC, and KRLSC) to
foster the adoption of UBL in Asia. See
http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/ubl/200311/msg00008.html
http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/ubl/200311/msg00010.html
http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/ubl/200312/msg00041.html
I am pleased to tell you that we are now in a position to
establish a UBL Spanish Localization Subcommittee (ESLSC) to
perform similar work in Spain and South America.
As in the case of the other localization subcommittees, the
proposal to form the ESLSC comes from existing electronic trade
associations, in this case Tradise and ANF AC. Their proposal is
attached to this message.
A generic charter for UBL localization subcommittees can be found
at
http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/ubl/200311/msg00006.html
The resolution creating the Spanish Localization SC is given below.
If you have no objection to its adoption, do nothing. If you are
a voting member of the UBL TC and you object to the adoption of
this resolution, please register that objection with mail to the
list ubl@lists.oasis-open.org no later than COB 13 March 2004.
Additional members are actively solicited for this work and will
be added following our usual rules.

Chair, OASIS UBL TC
