Hello UBL TC,
We appear to be ready to form a Category D liaison with ISO
TC68/WG4. This is the working group responsible for ISO 20022,
the standard XML format for financial messaging. A liaison with
WG4 will facilitate the integration of UBL into the Financial
Supply Chain and Financial Value Chain. Discussions between OASIS
and ISO have prepared the way, and the next step is for us to
appoint a person to perform the liaison function between the UBL
TC and WG4.
I am pleased to report that Vito Umberto Vavalli of AITI
(Associazione Italiana Tesorieri d'Impresa, the Italian
Association of Corporate Treasurers) has agreed to serve as
liaison. Upon your approval of Vito to fill this role, I will
request OASIS to make the appropriate request to ISO.
If you approve of the appointment of Vito Umberto Vavalli to the
position of UBL liaison to ISO TC68/WG4, do nothing. If you are a
voting member of the UBL TC and you object to the appointment of
Vito Umberto Vavalli to serve as liaison, register your objection
via mail to this list (the UBL TC list) no later than COB Tuesday
23 February 2010.
