Subject: NES statement on UN/UBL agreement

    Hello UBL TC,

This note from Helle Schade-Srensen relates directly to an
item on today's Atlantic TC call agenda:

ACTION: Northern European, Asian, and other government
stakeholders need to tell us this week whether the level of
recognition seen in the draft agreement is enough to make them
feel comfortable moving ahead with UBL 2 adoption.

The "Nordic declaration" referred to in the note appears to
    largely duplicate the document forwarded 21 April by Mark Leitch;
I will follow up on this to see which version should be forwarded
to OASIS management along with the terms of reference for the
    group.

I cannot participate in today's TC call but would note that this
statement appears to address the concern we had about government
    adoption.

    Jon

The North European Subset Steering group (NES) would like to
stress that the level of recognition, seen in the draft agreement
between UBL and UN/CEFACT is enough to make the northern european
countries comfortable with moving ahead with UBL 2
adoption. Attached is the Nordic declaration stating the views on
the UBL integration into UN/CEFACT and the terms of reference for
    NES.
