Subject: RE: [wsia] [wsia-req] Wireless Stock Trading Scenario
Hi
Suresh,
I am
attaching the revised scenario (updated with your comments).
Below are the answers to your
questions:
- Are
alerts just notifications triggered by an event, or are they
more complex (e.g. when a certain measurement deviates from the
norm, send notification
A using workflow N; when there are more
than x transactions during a month, send notification B using workflow M,
etc.) –CV.
Alerts map onto complex business models. They are
not just notifications triggered by an
event.
- Wireless interface: Provide a wireless
interface to the stock trading web service (what protocol, what
gateway, etc.).
Should work with all wireless protocols &
gateways.
- Unified
Communication Interface:
Provide a single interface for multiple technologies like synchronization,
speech recognition and messaging [from what
device?]
Any device capable of the above
functionality
- Multiple
data sources:
Support multiple data sources (local & remote)– RDBMS, VoiceXML, XML etc.
[is this requirement necessary? Isn’t this
really a backend activity?]
Since the
stock trading application needs this functionality I have included it here.
Its not really related to WSIA so I could take it
out.

Hi
Aditi,
Here
are some questions/comments on the scenario document.
Will
be great if you can address these.
Thanks,
-Suresh
