CTI TAXII Subcommittee

All, Welcome to the OASIS CTI TAXII Subcommittee!  We would like to thank you for your interest in helping the community develop and improve TAXII.  Over the coming weeks and months we look forward to working with each of you.  Our initial task, as stated in the charter, is to convert the existing TAXII 1.1 specifications to an OASIS TAXII 1.1.1 standard.  Mark and I are currently in the conversion process, and you will be pleased to know that we are nearly done with the initial copy-n-paste. Once DHS Legal gives final consent to hand over existing intellectual property to OASIS, we can send the converted documents out for subcommittee review and comment. Our hope is that we can finish this initial work by the end of August 2015. Once all comments have been heard and addressed, this subcommittee can move TAXII 1.1.1 to the broader TC for ratification as an official OASIS standard! In the meantime, we would like to encourage brainstorming so that we can collect all of your ideas about the future of TAXII. This information will help the TAXII subcommittee form a shared vision for the future of TAXII. Please use the OASIS TAXII list for these discussions,  cti-taxii@lists.oasis-open.org . We would also like to propose initially holding bi-weekly community calls, where the time slot oscillates to make things easier for people overseas.  The proposed schedule for these community calls and our initial kick-off meeting will be forthcoming. All,   As Bret mentioned, we’d like to get started with some bi-weekly TAXII Subcommittee meetings. In order to facilitate to the development of a schedule, could you please reply directly to Bret and myself (to avoid spamming the list) and let us know:   -           Your Name -           Your Time Zone   I’ve attempted to set the “Reply-To” to be Bret and myself, so hopefully that works out.   This information should help us in establishing a regular schedule. One of our goals is that any single time zone (e.g., New Zealand) should have at most one inconvenient meeting time per month, hence the oscillating time window that Bret mentioned.
