Dear OASIS LegalXML Leaders,


I call upon you to assist me in putting in place a stronger and more focused leadership for the OASIS/LegalXML Steering Committee. Other than Court Filing we have not had formal actions to place a representative from each TC on the steering committee. We need to take action now!

I call upon chairs on this list to set in motion a process to close this issue over the next month. I ask the Non chairs to support them in this action.

I thank Court Filing for their action and urge them, if they are members of there TC's to support those chairs as well.


Karl has indicated that an appointment of a volunteer with a
request for objections would serve as a voting process for a TC. This is
preffeably done with a meeting or telcon, however a decision on the list
email would also properly serve.


By the next meeting of the Steering Committee, Don will draft an open letter to the Membersection requesting nominations for the three at-large seats. The voting period for the at-large seats will be the 2 weeks after the nominations have closed. This will have the new steering committee in place in one month!

I request that the chairs acknowledge this email by Wednesday July 23rd at 3pm.
