I understand both John's concerns in your response. However, it may be that
the rules of procedure may not be the correct place to specify the specific
financial relationships between OASIS and a specific member section.
I believe that John is looking at it from the standpoint of the contractual
relationship, which it is. John's also looking at it as paper outlives
people. The interpretation that people can give to a piece of text that are
not part of the history could lead or allow people unaware to take actions
not within the spirit of the agreement. John is trying to preclude that.
There is no impugning on the integrity or actions of anyone at OASIS. John
is just trying clarify the future where the original people involved have
passed from the scene.
