John,
As you
know, we are trying to reinvigorate the Legislative TC. Most of the groups that
have immediate or near term business needs in this area are publishers and early
warning providers of bills, enactments, statues, rules, pending regulations,
regulations, codes and related information available as fresh as
possible.
We
hope to also bring in the professional association for legislators and the
administrators codes.
I do
not know that people are moving that quickly. Chet, Daniel and I plus our
resource from PWC are meeting Friday to prepare a more active scope of work and
campaign for membership and action.
Also,
since the TC has been running out of process with Non OASIS membership primarily
there is and should be significant concern of OASIS closing this group. (I have
asked the grim reaper for a stay and it was honored.)

Don - Do you have any idea why
fifteen persons suddenly joined the Legal XML Member Section? Some of
them seem to be from the publishing industry. They are certainly
welcome. I will send them each a welcoming email. But I find it
curious that there is such a sudden interest. Are we doing something
really important that I am not aware of?
