    Dear list,

    is it true, that docbook in combination with an recent oxygen, saxon and fop is not able to render correctly arabic script in pdf? The ligatures are missing.

    Dear Kaes,

    You might want to try setting the 'xml:lang="ar"' language attribute on
    the DocBook document root element. This might help the Apache FOP engine
    decides it's an arabic text. But do not expect that it would work 100%,
    support for Arabic in FOP is probably quite limited.
    So if this will not work maybe you can try to use Antenna House instead.
