Members of the UBL TC,
In preparing your Committee Spec Draft for publication, we ran across
several production problems that we bring to your attention to help with
future releases of the publication.
- For the Chrome and Edge browsers when viewing the PDF file, most of the
links to the schemas and summary reports are not hyperlinked. They look
like links (e.g. colored blue) but they do not show a "hand" while hovering
over the link nor is the link active. They ARE linked in the HTML file.
This appears to apply to all of the monospace-font blue-colored items in
the PDF, all of which use relative links.
Note that the same links function properly in Chrome in UBL-2.2 - see for
example
http://docs.oasis-open.org/ubl/os-UBL-2.2/UBL-2.2.pdf.- Noted a couple of links missing in the Status section:
-- third paragraph of Status: - OASIS IPR Policy" should be linked to
https://www.oasis-open.org/policies-guidelines/ipr -- fourth paragraph - instead of "aka Computer Language Definitions",
drop "aka" and link "Computer Language Definitions" to
https://www.oasis-open.org/policies-guidelines/tc-process#wpComponentsCompLang -- In Citation format, missing "OASIS" before "Committee Specification
Draft 01"
- Appendix has strings of yellow highlighted question marks. See for
example B.6.3
- In the header block text in the additional files, the link to the
"Library" lists "http:" instead of current "https:".
- In the HTML submitted, the stylesheet link was "type="text/css"
href="file:/Users/admin/u/utilities/Setare-STS-render-20190805-1530z/db/OASIS/css/oasis-spec.css">"
instead of (copied from UBL 2.2) href="art/oasis-spec.css" type="text/css">
- In addition, inspecting the /art directory in 2.3, the oasis-spec.css
file isn't there nor is the OASIS logo.
- The image tag pointed src="file:/Users/admin/u/utilities/Setare-STS-render-20190805-1530z/db/OASIS/OASISLogo.png"
alt="OASIS" border="0" width="290pt"> instead of src="art/OASISLogo.jpg" alt="OASIS" border="0">
These issues caused the HTML to display as plain, unformatted text. For
this publication, I fixed that by copying the style sheet and logo from the
latest release of XHE into the art/ directory and copying the links from
UBL v2.2. However, this may not be how you want it to work now. We point it
out just to let you know that there is a problem.
Please let us know if you have any questions on any of this.
