Hi Chet, I think I'll have a new draft ready this afternoon that addresses (or attempst to address) all of the comments we received on the CS/PRD. What's the next step? Do we have to republish a CS/PRD02 or can we move forward? I think I can say honestly that the comments were all editorial. Some of Patrick's were about process and conformance and such so perhaps less editorial than just changing the formatting of the appendix titles. Be seeing you, norm -- Norman Walsh <ndw@nwalsh.com> Oh well, no matter what happens, http://www.oasis-open.org/docbook/ there's always death.-- Napoleon Chair, DocBook Technical Committee Attachment: signature.asc Description: PGP signature

Wow. That was fast!  Ok, so next steps:  - I'll need to have a comment resolution log from the TC listing each of the comments and how the TC decided to address them so that I can load that up with CSPRD01 and point to it from the next round of notices, etc. I think I sent you a vanilla template that can be used to create on but if not let me know and I will send it.  - If you and the TC feel that the changes to the spec are all non-material and editorial, then you can move forward and request a Special Majority Vote to approve it as a Committee Specification with Non-Material Changes. It is explained here ->  https://www.oasis-open.org/resources/tcadmin/approving-a-committee-specification-or-note-draft-with-non-material-changes . In a nutshell,  - The TC prepares a record of the changes made from CSPRD01. Generally, TC's just make a red-lined doc compared version but a list of changes is ok too.  - The TC passes a motion requesting the Special Majority Vote using language something like...  Do members of the TC approve requesting that TC Administration initiate a Special Majority Vote to approve  <specification name and version #> contained in <URL for the revised draft> as a Committee Specification? The TC affirms that changes have been made since the last public review. The changes made are documented in <URL for the summary of changes>. The TC judges these changes to be Non-Material in accordance with the definition in the OASIS TC Process ( http://www.oasis-open.org/policies-guidelines/tc-process#dNonmaterialChange ). - Somebody fills out the ticket at  https://www.oasis-open.org/resources/tc-admin-requests/committee-specification-ballot-request   - I set up and run the Special Majority Vote. Because it is a vote on a spec with changes, I also circulate an alert that the ballot is taking place to the membership in case anyone cares to look.  - Once the vote passes, I'll work with you to publish the Committee Specification 01.  It should actually go pretty quickly...  Best,  /chet On Wed, May 27, 2015 at 1:24 PM, Norman Walsh < ndw@nwalsh.com > wrote: Hi Chet, I think I'll have a new draft ready this afternoon that addresses (or attempst to address) all of the comments we received on the CS/PRD.
