Hi Norm, Figure and example allow a mix of text content so there is no need to exclude them, and TDG even says they are allowed. The equation element has a tightly defined content model that does not include text elements. All three allow caption, and caption is documented as allowing admonitions, and I see no reason to exclude them from caption either. So I think those schematron rules excluding admonitions from all descendants of the formal objects should be removed, as they contradict TDG. Bob Stayton Sagehill Enterprises

Admonitions are currently excluded from all formal objects: table, example, figure, and equation. Is the intent of the TC that admonitions be allowed in any formal object, or for them to remain excluded from example, figure, and equation?
