    Posted 04-06-2020 17:05
Greetings! Hope everyone is at the start of a great week! Notes from today are attached. Patrick **************** Patrick: Sorry for being late! Patrick: quorum - yes Patrick: 1. Dial-In, Roll Call, Determination of Quorum and Voting Rights 2. Motion (simple majority): Approve the Agenda 3. Motion (simple majority): Approve minutes of 30 March 2020 (below) 4. ODF Later issues (Preference to current TC members and cycling through their issues so no one is on the spot for all of them in a meeting), btw, limiting the search to open/deferred issues counts 134: https://issues.oasis-open.org/issues/?jql=project%20%3D%20OFFICE%20AND%20status%20in%20 (Open%2C%20Deferred)%20AND%20fixVersion%20in%20(%22ODF%201.4%22%2C%20ODF-Next)%20ORDER%20BY%20reporter%20ASC ) 5. a. Remove deprecated table:cell-range-address attribute within the <chart:plot-area> element https://issues.oasis-open.org/browse/OFFICE-3741 reporter: Andreas Guelzow (Deferred from last week) b. The color mode "Watermark" makes images pale, not transparent https://issues.oasis-open.org/browse/OFFICE-3841 reporter: Regina Henschel (deferred from last week) c. 4.7 Empty Cell terminology https://issues.oasis-open.org/browse/OFFICE-3768 6. Adjournment Patrick: Agenda- approved by consent Patrick: Minutes from 30 March 2020 - approved by consent Patrick: https://issues.oasis-open.org/browse/OFFICE-3741 Patrick: Regina - LO writes this attribute but it doesn't use it when it reads it. Patrick: So, resolution: Delete the table:cell-range-address attribute within the <chart:plot-area> element completely. - both in schema and text. Patrick: Regina, when missing, makes no difference. Patrick: set to ODF 1.4, resolve by deletion of the attribute in schema and text Patrick: https://issues.oasis-open.org/browse/OFFICE-3841 Patrick: Regina - question was whether we say in more detail what watermark means - Word has something similar - wash out - not transparent Patrick: transparent is false - only Caligra makes it transparent as overlay Patrick: do we want to describe the filter exactly or do we want another word than transparent? Patrick: would need an additional way for Calligra if we define the filter exactly - Patrick: Regina would prefer to define exactly so implementers know what to do Patrick: Andreas - could have an attribute that has either / or for method of implementation. Patrick: choice between the two approaches Patrick: Michael - an additional attribute - perhaps hard coded meanings would be better Patrick: Should have an additional attribute - Regina will write something down for the next meeting - Patrick: https://issues.oasis-open.org/browse/OFFICE-3768 Patrick: Regina - ISBLANK - replace "if it is blank (has no value)", with "if it is empty" ... Patrick: Remove from COUNTBLANK - "A cell is blank if the cell is empty for purposes of COUNTBLANK." and "It is implementation-defined whether or not a cell returning the empty string ("") is considered blank; because of this, there is a (potential) subtle difference between COUNTBLANK and ISBLANK." Patrick: should show "blank" as technical term, not the common use of blank Patrick: Andreas - would be good to avoid "blank" in the semantic description - may need implementation defined for empty string - Patrick: Patrick to propose language for COUNTBLANK that avoids using blank in the definition - Michael Stahl: Excel counts empty string in COUNTBLANK Patrick: Office-1322 vote on for next meeting Patrick: Adjourned -- Patrick Durusau patrick@durusau.net Technical Advisory Board, OASIS (TAB) Editor, OpenDocument Format TC (OASIS), Project Editor ISO/IEC 26300 Co-Editor, ISO/IEC 13250-1, 13250-5 (Topic Maps) Another Word For It (blog): http://tm.durusau.net Homepage: http://www.durusau.net Twitter: patrickDurusau Attachment: signature.asc Description: OpenPGP digital signature
