Subject: Approval of UBL v1.0 as an OASIS Standard

OASIS members:

We had previously announced [1] that the Universal Business Language (UBL) 
v1.0 Committee Draft from the OASIS Universal Business Language Technical 
Committee had received sufficient affirmative votes to be approved as an 
OASIS Standard, but that, due to the receipt of a negative vote, the TC was 
required to decide how to proceed.  The UBL TC has voted to request the 
specification be approved despite the negative vote.

We are pleased, therefore, to announce that UBL v1.0 has been approved as 
an OASIS Standard. The submission of the approved standard can be found at 
[2].

Congratulations to the TC, and the community of implementers, developers 
and users who have brought the work successfully to culmination.
