  • 1.  Chart legend orientation

    It seems that ODF is currently missing a way of specifying the orientation of the legend.
    Currently (in OpenOffice.org for instance) there's no way to set it directly, but it's automatically changed when you set the legend's position:
    when you position it right/left, it's set to vertical, otherwise to horizontal.
    But that doesn't really make sense for the case you want to move the legend around freely.
    
    The proposal is to add a chart:legend-orientation attribute to the

    A string would be best IMO, since you might want to localize the text 
    to "Legenda" (NL) for example. And naturally let that text be dependent on 
    the authors initial locale, not the one that opens the document.
    You could only do that by writing the text in the doc.

    Yes of course I had in mind a string attribute.
    
    "usually Legend or nothing" was just to illustrate the common use-cases for that
    string, but it says "usually" so it could be something else, and "Legend" would be
    translated of course.
