I spoke with JoAnn last week and we came up with a tentative, rough plan for a 60-minutes webinar to be jointly sponsored by DITA TC and DITA Adoption TC. We now need feedback from the DITA TC, and to know if key people can participate on the proposed date. Date Thursday, 31 July 2014 Concept A panel of DITA TC and DITA Adoption TC members, using OASIS-branded slides to provide information about a subset of DITA 1.3 features. Some features -- scoped keys and branch filtering -- will require more time than others. We'll ask each speaker to address similar points to unify the slides, for example: What does the feature do? What value does it add to DITA? Use case or scenario that illustrates how the feature works, who might use it, and what value it gives them Possible agenda Introduction to Webinar and DITA Adoption TC (JoAnn Hackos) DITA TC and DITA 1.3 (Kris Eberlein) Scoped keys (Chris Nitchie) Branch filtering (Robert Anderson) RELAX NG (Eliot Kimber) Troubleshooting (Bob Thomas) Release management (Tom Cihak? JoAnn Hackos?) New domains (Deb Bissantz?) Questions (JoAnn Hackos and Kris Eberlein) Possible handout Could expand on handout that Kris Eberlein used at CMS/DITA North America; see http://dita.xml.org/resource/overview-of-dita-13 -- Best, Kris Kristen James Eberlein Chair, OASIS DITA Technical Committee Principal consultant, Eberlein Consulting www.eberleinconsulting.com +1 919 682-2290; kriseberlein (skype)
