Hi Chet, Thanks for the update on progression of the XACML 3.0 spec. Please advise as to what it is going to be called, or known as: For example, is it going to be: eXtensible Access Control Markup Language (XACML) V3.0 CSD06 / CSPRD04 eXtensible Access Control Markup Language (XACML) V3.0 CS02 something else? The reason is people end up using the version as the effective identifier in discussion, etc. Something clear and simple like CS02 is clearly preferable to CSD06 / CSPRD04 . And if it is something else then why wouldn't it be CS02 since I think the last CS up there for 3.0 is CS01 .     Thanks,     Rich On 8/20/2012 2:44 PM, Chet Ensign wrote: Members of the XACML TC, The Special Majority ballot to approve eXtensible Access Control Markup Language (XACML) V3.0 CSD06 / CSPRD04 as a Committee Specification has passed. You have it - it will be Committee Specification 02. Specifically: eXtensible Access Control Markup Language (XACML) Version 3.0 Committee Specification 01 08 August 2012 The Committee Specification Draft and Committee Specification Public Review Draft were the drafts that were last publicly reviewed and that you all voted to approve as the CS. /chet On Mon, Aug 20, 2012 at 10:07 PM, rich levinson <rich.levinson@oracle.com> wrote: > Hi Chet, > > Thanks for the update on progression of the XACML 3.0 spec. > > Please advise as to what it is going to be called, or known as: > For example, is it going to be: > > eXtensible Access Control Markup Language > (XACML) V3.0 CSD06 / CSPRD04 > > eXtensible Access Control Markup Language > (XACML) V3.0 CS02 > > something else? > > The reason is people end up using the "version" as the effective > identifier in discussion, etc. Something clear and simple like "CS02" > is clearly preferable to "CSD06 / CSPRD04". Thanks, Chet, That's perfectly clear. No ambiguity whatsoever. Looks like all the bases are covered. :) Rich On 8/21/2012 9:12 AM, Chet Ensign wrote: You have it - it will be Committee Specification 02.
