Patrick: Revision of the ODF Charter Patrick: Svante - do we want to be more precise - or more general - what to be more precise - abstract representation - need high level abstraction in all application Patrick: wants to define change in terms of the abstract feature set Patrick: how - there's no feature fix - need to start with a primer - for ODFDOM application - gives new users a view of the structure - list as paragraphs with more information Patrick: a way to explain features - can't collect in a glossary, etc - Patrick: should be able to pick features from the spec - Patrick: 1) feature set needed for change tracking, 2) for feature picking, 3) for explaining features Patrick: Francis - need a written proposal to decide what to work on - more general statement Patrick: Regina - needs no additions to the scope statement Patrick: OpenDocumentFormat (ODF) was adopted as an OASIS standard and submitted to ISO/IEC where it became ISO/IEC 26300. That standard forms the basis for the future development of OpenDocumentFormat. The ODF TC will address: 1) Maintenance of existing ODF TC work products; 2) Development of existing ODF TC work products to meet new office suite needs; 3) Development of ODF TC work products that encourage implementation of the OpenDocumentFormat (ODF); 4) Submission of completed and approved work to other organizations in accordance with the OASIS Liasion policy.
