Acceptance of Minutes of the April, the 19th meeting
----------------------------------------------------
- The attending TC members unanimously accepted the minutes.
Action Items
------------
none
IPR Standing Rule
-----------------
The TC chair has been asked to ask the TC members whether they are aware
of any violations of the IPR standing rules contained in the TC's
charter. The TC chair forwarded this question to the attending TC
members, but clarified that according to the OASIS IPR policy, there is
no obligation to answer. None of the attending TC members had any comments.
Print Ranges
------------
The TC discussed the proposal for automatic print ranges as posted in
http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/office/200404/msg00029.html. The TC
discussed whether it would be more useful to have an attribute that
enables or disables printing of a table rather than having an attribute
that specifies an automatic print range. This attribute could be similar
to the display attributes that exist for other elements. The TC also
discussed whether it would be reasonable to specify that the used area
of a table is printed if neither a print range is specified nor the new
attribute existing. Michael will rework the proposal.
Proposal for enhanced cell content validation
---------------------------------------------
The TC unanimously agreed to the proposal for cell content validation
based on a list of values as posted in
http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/office/200404/msg00030.html.
File Name Extensions
--------------------
The TC discussed what file name extensions should be used for Open
Office documents. One proposal was to use "oo[t]", another one to use
"ox[t]", where "[t]" in both cases indicates the sub type of the
document, like text or spreadsheet. The TC further discussed whether the
letter indicating the sub type should correspond to application names
(i.e. "w" for text documents in correspondence with application names
like Kword or OpenOffice.org Writer) or whether the letter indicating
the type should correspond to the type elements specified in the Open
Office schema (i.e. "t" for text document). The discussion will be
continued.
New Action Items
----------------
Michael Brauer: rework print range proposal.
