Call for Nominations for CTI TC Secretary

All,   One of the important roles within an OASIS TC is that of Secretary.  The two most important things that Secretaries can do to support the TC is ensure that the meeting minutes are prepared and distributed to the TC mailing list and maintain the voting rights on the Roster.   In addition, Secretaries:   -           Are copied on all emails to cti-chair@ mailing list    -           Have their contact info listed on the TC's public web page just below the Chair   -           Can edit/save the Group Notes fields which present the information displayed on the TC's public web page   -           Can manage attendance records for TC meetings (i.e. add members as having attended during or after the meeting)    -           Can add/edit/delete ballots    -           Can add/edit/delete meetings from the calendar    -           Can manage the roster (i.e. change members voting status)    -           Can add/edit/delete action items    Some OASIS TC’s have one secretary, others have two.  Given the size and scope of this TC, my thinking is that we’ll want two.  Therefore, I would ask for nominations and seconds for TC secretary to be posted to this list by 9AM Eastern time, Friday, July 10 th .   Regards, Rich   Richard J. All: I agree, two Secretaries would be useful, given the size of the CTI-TC. I guess we should invite both Alex and Terry to let us know if they are each ready and willing to take this on. If so, add my +1. Jane Ginn, MSIA, MRP Cyber Threat Intelligence Network, Inc. jg@ctin.us

I would be honored to serve as secretary – I know it might not be the most glamorous job, but it will be critical to us being successful and I like that kind
of challenge.  I also endorse the idea of splitting the job into two – hopefully both of us can split duties, but it sure would help in the event that one of us is unavailable for a given meeting.

    Thanks,

    Alex

Hi all - one minor note, with my apologies for passing along one error in this list - please ignore the word "delete" in the capabilities. We strongly discourage TCs from deleting anything (especially ballots!) as the content in your archives becomes the historical record of the TC's work.  So for example, a ballot can be withdrawn and that is far better than deleting one. Withdrawing leaves a record of "oops, my bad, please see the correct ballot" in the record whereas a delete leaves a "something was once here - but now it is gone" - the sort of record that feeds conspiracy theorists for ages to come. <grin>  Other than that of course, the list is accurate.  Best,  /chet On Wed, Jul 8, 2015 at 9:48 PM, Struse, Richard < Richard.Struse@hq.dhs.gov > wrote: All,   One of the important roles within an OASIS TC is that of Secretary. Hi Rich, The attached cover sheet is for a set of materials we are submitting into next week's NFV SEC subcommittee meeting in San Jose. The NFV plenary and its various subcommittees are meeting in the convention center. As noted in the abstract, the contribution describes the context and activities of the TC CTI and includes mapping NFV security requirements and work items into the initial platforms being advanced by TC CTI. CybOX (and MAEC although not presently under CTI) are especially relevant. The intent is to create a formal relationship as well as the basis for a work item on the subject. Given the specialized nature of NFV, the work is probably best done there. If any CTI-ers are among the hundreds at the NFV meetings next week, or otherwise want to be a part of this work, let me know. best, tony Attachment: NFVSEC(15)000198CoverPage.docx Description: application/vnd.openxmlformats-officedocument.wordprocessingml.document
