chet.ensign@oasis-open.org> Fellow TC members, If you are so inclined, please take a look at this very useful set of interoperability guidelines. This really opened my eyes. I was especially impressed with the format: identify a potential mistake --> provide a best practice. (I won't say how many of the mistakes listed resonated with me, i.e., a mistake I could have easily made) Thanks, Bryan (hats off to the TAB for this great work)

The whitepaper covers best practices for writing specifications in ways that minimize the risk of interoperability failures between implementations. Specifications can become imprecise for any number of perfectly valid reasons, resulting in gaps in interpretation that become evident once interoperability is tested. "Interoperability Guidelines" points out the most common traps that specification writers can avoid to minimize risk of misunderstanding. The target audience for the white paper is primarily specification writers and TC members. The white paper can be found at http://www.oasis-open.org/policies-guidelines/interoperability-guidelines . OASIS thanks the TAB for its efforts to provide this resource to members.
