The discussion was about moving forward with a TOSCA-NFV-v1.0 (IFA based) draft document. Currently, the latest draft [tosca-nfv-v1.0-wd04-rev04] contains both CSD03 contents (MAN001) and new IFA011 technical changes. In addition, when we redo the ToC of the document, we did not make any technical changes. Thus, it creates allot of inconsistence text and mixing MAN001 and IFA011/014. Problem statement: it is very difficult for reader and contributor to understand what are in the draft spec are correct and where to contribute. MAN001 and IFA011 and IFA014 are not forward or backward compatible. Having these concept and technical contents in a document is not advisable and only create more confusion. Right now, no progress on any of the document. Proposal: with a current working assumption that the version CSD03 will be release as CS status and it allowing IFA based solution progress, I propose the following: [tosca-nfv-v1.0 (MAN001 based )]: this version will be based on [tosca-nfv-v1.0-wd03, rev01, 2016-7-29] version + Issue TOSCA-311: “adding vEPC NSD example. [tosca-nfv-v1.0 (IFA based)]: this version will be based on new ToC from the proposal of TOSCA-305: Proposal modification to ToC based on document Issue_TOSCA305_tosca-nfv-v1.0-wd03-rev01 TOC_r3. Only the ToC and not technical content . New contributions are needed to bring back previous text that are applicable to IFA based profile. Note: the above proposal is based on the current revision history of the draft document [tosca-nfv-v1.0-wd04-rev04]. I am recommending that we produce a concrete proposal and prepare for TOSCA TC meeting on December 8 call to make decision. Next steps: [tosca-nfv-v1.0 (MAN001 based)]: a volunteer is needed to produce a draft version of this document. Volunteer: John or Shitao??? [tosca-nfv-v1.0 (IFA based)]: Create a new ToC document: Volunteer: Thinh Make a proposal of which are the technical content from CSD03 should be keep as is, modify, or delete in the new IFA based solution.
