There a number of open issues with the 0.44 specification draft. I'm partly paraphrasing some of the email traffic since last meeting, so if I've misquoted something please correct. There could be more here than we can hope to come to closure on in a single call, but we should at least set the stage for discussion threads to follow. 1. Transient 'thingies' vs. sessions. What is the difference? Wouldn't all transient data live in a session? Counter-examples? 2. Clarify the getFragment/performAction parameters: controllerURL, uniqueToken. Needed? 3. Separate create operations for transient and persistent entities, instead of a single method that takes a boolean. We should also spend time addressing the issues Mike raised: 1. Correspondence between 0.44 API and current portlet models. 2. Sessions are specific to a portlet container, not individual portlets...clashes with our concept of sessions tied to individual services? 3. Supporting scenarios for Producer implicitly creating transient entities, instead of Consumer explicitly requesting the Producer create them. 4. Destroy multiple entities in a single call (list-based, or hierarchical destruction). 5. bulk copy. Weekly on Tuesdays, 9am PST (12 noon EST).
