The questions below have been submitted by OASIS staff:

    1.  What acts of the TC are conditional upon satisfaction of the proposed "exit criteria" requirement?

    2. When happens to requests for "new or enhanced functionality .. set aside" during the maintenance mode? Are they out of scope for the TC?

    3. What does the TC do, if a year passes and no changes are needed, given the requirement of one minor release per year?

    Regards,

    Mary

This is the same requirement written into the SCA charters.
To start with, i'd say that a year with no "maintenance" (even fixing
a typo) on a spec either means the authors were total geniuses or no
    one is using it. :-)

Seriously, i guess the TC would just observe that no maintenance
issues that required spec changes were submitted in the past year,
and hence there is no need to issue a new minor release. Or if TC
Admin insisted, the TC could publish a minor revision that was the
same as the previous version, (except for the revision number and date).

    cheers,
        jeff

    Hi Mary,
I must confess that i don't understand your question. This is
exactly the same language which was approved for the other 6 SCA TCs.
       Could you please clarify?

          cheers,
         jeff

Maintenance mode doesn't refer to the TC, but to the specs the TC has
approved. I would think that it is up to the TC to decide to do with
those issues. If they are within the scope of the TC, then the TC can
decide how it wants to handle them. If they are out of scope, then
obviously the TC can't do much with them.

    cheers,
       jeff
